Senior Recruiter - Out West Restaurant Group (Outback Steakhouse Franchise)
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid + Multi‑State Travel)
Full-Time | Exempt
Reports to: VP of Human Resources
Compensation: $95,000 to $110,000
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity, in accordance with applicable state pay transparency laws.
Out West Restaurant Group, the largest Outback Steakhouse franchisee, is hiring a Senior Recruiter to support staffing across 72 locations in five states. This is a high‑impact role for a strategic, relationship‑driven recruiter who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑state environment and can hire at every level of the organization.
You’ll partner directly with Director‑level Operators, Executive Leadership, and the HR Team to build strong talent pipelines, strengthen our employer brand, and ensure we hire exceptional leaders who drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Do

Lead full‑cycle recruiting for restaurant management, support center roles, and leadership positions.

Partner with Directors and Executives to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.

Develop sourcing strategies tailored to diverse labor markets across multiple states.

Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Manage job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer processes.

Build pipelines for high‑volume and hard‑to‑fill roles.

Coach hiring managers on interviewing best practices and compliance.

Represent the company at career fairs and recruiting events.

Support onboarding and workforce planning initiatives.

5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, including multi‑state recruiting.

Experience hiring at all organizational levels, including management and executive roles.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.

Experience supporting multi‑unit or multi‑location operations (restaurant, retail, hospitality, etc.).

Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field.

Restaurant or hospitality recruiting experience.

Bilingual Spanish/English.
Physical & Travel Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.

Ability to stand 6–8 hours at career fairs or recruiting events.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (recruiting materials, signage, equipment).

Travel up to 20% across multiple states.

Ability to conduct in‑person interviews in restaurant environments.
